We have tried to be as flexible as possible with our API, allowing for various applications we haven’t even thought of yet!
Currently, our API will allow you to authenticate using your username and password for your account, which is obviously standard. However, we feel that standard isn’t really good enough so we have developed a key based authentication system, which will allow each of your applications to authenticate using a unique key.
What are the benefits of using API key’s as opposed to just your username and password? We’re glad you asked!
- If you ever change your primary account password, your applications can still access the system using keys generated for them
- You can revoke access by deleting a key from the console at any time
- You can allow third party applications to use your Panacea Mobile account, without ever giving them your password
- As a developer, you can quickly get your users working with Panacea Mobile to enable messaging in your applications
Wow, that sounds great

So how do I create these things? See our pretty picture below (click to enlarge)!
